Human Beings Are Machines Are Robots
Human Beings Are Machines Are Robots

Spring 2007
Copper, brass, nickel, watch gears, spring steel, chempleve enamel.
3" x 2" x .5"

Based off of Kurt Vonnegut's "Breakfast of Champions". In this book the phrase "Human beings are machines, are robots" is used repetitively, that phrase inspired the creation of this brooch.

This anatomical heart brooch violently springs open when a lever is depressed to reveal watch gears, that will move, but only in one direction.
